About 200 women from various organizations converge this week for the fourth annual conference on women and leadership.

According to the Federation of Uganda Employers(FUE), the organizers of the event, this year’s Conference shall also witness the official launch of the globally acclaimed United Nations Women Empowerment Principles which include among others integrating female sensitive policies into workplace.

It will also showcase achievements of the Female Future Programme, a platform aimed at ensuring that female talents take management positions.

Fatmah Nsereko, the FUE coordinator said participants would share knowledge and experiences on the business case for the inclusion of women in leadership positions.

She hopes that this will make a difference in the lives of career women.

“What is done or learned by one class of women becomes, by virtue of their common womanhood, the property of all women,” Nsereko told New Vision

Within the context of the conference theme; “Women Empowerment: The Business case for Women in Leadership”, the conference will come up with strategies on how to enhance the inclusion of women in leadership positions in the corporate world and the boardroom.
