Jennifer is a qualified lawyer with over 10 years practicing as an advocate, has technical and
hands on experience in procurement and logistics and a human rights defender for over twenty
years.
She has held a number of leadership positons in her career and a member of professional
bodies such as President Board of Trustees – FIDA UGANDA; Member – Uganda Law Society;
member of the Kanisa Procurement Board and many more.
She brings a wealth of experience in parastatal organisations leadership, election observation,
human rights promotion and youth capacity development engagement. She is currently semi-
retired and engaging in mixed farming.
Mrs. Mona Ssebuliba

Mona is currently the Chief Executive Officer- Agri-Business Initiative Finance Ltd – aBi.
Has experience in Fund Management, management of the aBi Endowment Fund and the Construction Guarantee Fund (CGF).
With the experience in human rights mainly women’s rights she has passion in combatting Violence against Women & Children, Women’s Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights, Women’s Economic Justice (Land, Oil & Gas), Women in Politics. Decision making as well as the monitoring and Evaluation.
She is the youngest member of the Governance Board and representing the youth since WLEDE’s niche is women and youth leaders and a board member of a number of organizations.
Hon Sarah Bagalaaliwo

Sarah is a qualified member with proven experience in governance and development.
She is one of the first legislators of the East African Legislative Assembly – EALA. A member of several boards and committees in the financial sector, corporate companies, and academia.
With her extensive experience in human resources management, she has in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of business administration and company leadership.
She is retired and engaging in farming and business.
Edith Ssali
Secretary (Ex Official)
Edith is the Executive Director and the secretary to the governance board.
She has 13 years’ experience in development work at senior management level with a wealth of experience and expertise in organizational strategic management, establishment, operationalization and sustainability of organizations.
With the background of corporate business management and civil society organizations, has good knowledge in people management, systems and processes implementation.
