As we commemorate a decade of
empowering women and youth through
transformative leadership, I am filled
with immense pride and gratitude for
the journey of Women Leadership
Development (WLEDE). From our
humble beginnings at UMA show
grounds to our expansive reach today,
WLEDE's growth has been nothing
short of remarkable. Reflecting on the
past ten years, our impact resonates
deeply within communities across
Uganda, where we have touched
countless lives and cultivated a new
generation of leaders committed to
driving social transformation. Our
mission—to enhance the impactful
contributions of women and youth
leaders across economic, political, and
social domains—has been the
cornerstone of our success. This
mission has guided us through various
initiatives and strategic partnerships,
enabling us to bridge leadership
capacity gaps and foster a more
inclusive and equitable society.
