Strengthening Democracy

Women’s participation in political leadership is key to development of the country. We need to take a step to increase women’s political leadership participation if we are to make democracy inclusive, participatory and equitable.

“If democracy is going to put down strong and healthy roots, it must profit from the full and equitable participation of women in national and local leadership positions and in a full range of advocacy roles” WLEDE intends to engage with key stake holders in democracy to increase women’s participation in political party leadership.

WLEDE uses a three-lens approach to youth participation in democracy, good governance and development, which appreciates, mobilizes youth leaders’ strengths and promotes talents to enhance community transformation.
