Today, we pause to honour the lives lost, celebrate the progress made, and recommit to a future where no one is left behind in the fight against HIV & AIDS.
World AIDS Day reminds us that HIV is not just a health issue—it is a human rights issue. Stigma, discrimination, and unequal access to services continue to hold communities back. Yet every day, brave individuals, health workers, activists, and organisations continue to push for change, break barriers, and bring hope closer to reality.
As we commemorate this day, we call on leaders, communities, and every one of us to:
🔴 Reignite investment in HIV prevention and treatment
🔴 Strengthen access to quality health services for all—especially women, youth, and vulnerable groups
🔴 End stigma and discrimination in our homes, workplaces, and communities
🔴 Protect the hard-won gains in the fight against HIV
Let us stand in solidarity with all people living with HIV. Let us honour caregivers, champions, and frontline workers. And above all, let us renew our promise to build a healthier, more inclusive, and AIDS-free Uganda.Together, we can end AIDS. Together, we can end inequalities.
